This New Showroom in L.A. Is a Natural Stone Paradise

Design atelier FORM (LA)—helmed by Australian-born architect Jordan Mosslar—has been defining Los Angeles’s custom stone furniture scene since 2021. Mosslar has now taken his creative endeavor one step further, opening the brand’s first-ever flagship showroom on North La Brea Avenue.

FORM (LA)’s new home is a warm, textural, sexy oasis inspired by modern Italian design.

The 5,500-square-foot space in L.A. is dazzling, to say the least. On one hand, it’s vast, but walk farther in and you’ll get a taste of just how intimate, sexy, and warm it is. Mosslar launched FORM (LA) in an attempt to close the gap in the market of curating natural stone products, removing the all-too-common stumbling blocks of sourcing, finding a fabricator, and producing drawings. The new space is thus exquisitely “stone powered.”

“I incorporated natural stone into all the architectural elements of the space, including the flooring, walls, archways, and even a Calacatta Viola pivot entry door,” says Mosslar, who says he was inspired by modern Italian design when conceptualizing the showroom. “The new marble bathroom vanities and bathtubs are jaw-dropping and a personal favorite of mine in terms of not yet officially launched FORM (LA) offerings.”

There’s more where that came from. Rooms are filled with both the brand’s signature finishes—evident in everything from the flooring to the light switches—and fresh takes on seating, fireplace surrounds, and beyond. The creamy walls are stained in terra-cotta oranges and moody browns; the travertine furniture pieces serve as their own pièces de résistance; and the custom plaster lamps, made in collaboration with Tristan Kallas from Studio Tristan Kallas, are recurring, refreshing motifs. “I want people to feel like they have walked into a hybrid of a designer store, an art gallery, and an inviting home,” Mosslar shares.

That desire came to fruition, considering how positive the showroom’s reception has been since its recent soft launch. “It has been absolutely incredible to see clients in complete disbelief at not only the marble detailing but also the sheer scale of the space,” Mosslar tells ELLE DECOR. “I love seeing their eyes light up with inspiration.”

Mosslar’s care, mastery, and passion for natural stone shines bright in his 5,500-square-foot showroom.

While FORM (LA)’s furniture and objects are indeed shoppable at the new flagship, that’s not to say that Mosslar has abandoned his passion for providing clients, many of them members of the trade industry, with bespoke stone creations. In fact, this new chapter for FORM (LA) is fueling its founder and creative director to dig even deeper: “I am really excited about continuing to expand FORM (LA)’s capabilities and collections with some exciting launches that we have on the horizon.”
